A week tomorrow is the first shooting date, and it's getting very exciting, needless to say. A production meeting is scheduled for this Sunday, a cast read through for next Thursday, and then shooting on Saturday at Elk Lake. Hopefully it'll be nice and warm, as Mark Chao's character Anthony goes in the water for quite some time, as do the others.
Unfortunately, Sarah Newcombe is no longer able to fulfill the part of Lauren, due to an insane lack of time, which is understood by all. Our regrets go out, though we've all been in that situation. The mysterious Lauren is now played by Evan Holtz.

A trip to Vancouver has enabled us to schedule the movie
with Movie Magic,
which is great. Also, we now have a new boom microphone and other
little goodies.

The Finalized Version of the script is busy printing
now (currently at page 19), and we will distribute those tomorrow, as some
cast and crew have seen nothing yet!

We bought a bunch of props and equipment today; as much
as we could until the movie account displayed Insufficient Funds.
Also, you can now download
a portion of our main title song, 'After the Rain' by Callum.

"Once, long ago, a reckless society destroyed itself..."
The opening words of our movie certainly touch home today. On behalf
of the everybody involved with After the Rain, we would like to extend
our deepest condolences to all those affected by today's tragedy in the
United States. Our thoughts are with you as we share your grief during
this horrific event.
September 9th, 2001
We left at 9am today for location surveys and didn't
get home until 5, which, combined with hiking mountains and crossing trestles,
makes for a very tiring day. We went to Mt. Doug, Beaver Lake, Elk
Lake, Goldstream, Mt. Finlayson, Bamberton, and Macauly Point, and we can
safely say that we have a location for every scene.
Not to mention that the script was finished yesterday. People are already talking sequel, but I figure we'd better finish (start) this one first. Another character has developed who we need to fill, and also and idea for the end which involves about 30 people is developing. If you're interested in having a role, please Contact Us.
September 8th, 2001
Location surveys begin tomorrow, which means that theorhetically
the script should be finished by now... Also, every Cast
& Crew member now has an Edgebound
e-mail address, which is good.

John Manning has agreed to
take part in the production of the movie, which will boost our morale at
least 400%. As an added bonus, this will also increase the approval
rating of the cast with the girls, all of which are secretly in love with
